the predicted 2027 ladder

A start rating counts how many points better or worse a club is than the average NRL side, measured at a neutral ground. It carries over from 2026 and shrinks towards average. The chances are based on 10,000 simulated seasons.

we ran 10,000 simulated seasons using our starting ratings. The Penrith Panthers come first for flag chances at 13%. No club starts with odds better than 1 in 8.

Until the NRL publishes the 2027 draw, every club plays every other club once, then adds return games so it plays 24 games, the 2026 load. Each run picks home grounds at random.

The spread between start and finish ratings in 2026 (5.3 points) shifts each club's start rating up or down in every run, so the chances stay wide.

The Perth Bears haven't played any NRL games, so they begin where the bottom four clubs average out (-4.3).
